1. King Viserys Targaryen
Despite losing his wife and newborn son, King Viserys still resides over the most powerful seat in Westeros, the Iron Throne.

2. Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen
As the heir to the throne, Rhaenyra holds the second most powerful position in the realm, even if it is a rather precarious position.

3. Ser Otto Hightower
Couple being the most trusted advisor to King Viserys as Hand of the King with belonging to one of the most powerful families in Westeros and it becomes clear why Otto is so high up this list. He seems to have eyes and ears everywhere, and that sort of access to information is always dangerous. Otto even manages to convince the King to banish his own brother.

4. Prince Daemon Targaryen
At certain points in the episode, Daemon would’ve placed 2nd or even 1st, but his banishment from court ultimately pushes him down the list. Still, he’s proven to be a ruthless commander and would find ample support across the realm given his legitimate claim to the throne. He has command of the Vale, the Runestone, and a golden legion of highly trained soldiers. Also, he’s only ever a dragon’s ride away…

5. Princess Rhaeyns Targaryen
As the older cousin to Viserys, Rhaeyns too has a strong claim to the Iron Throne. In the little we’ve seen her, she appears strategic, unfazed, and patient. She also has an inside track to the dealings of the small council through her husband, Lord Corlys Velaryon.

6. Lord Corlys Velaryon
Speaking of which, Corlys’ rich blood and his marriage to such a high ranking member of the Targaryen family as well as his position on the small council as Lord of the Rides and as Master of Driftmark earns him a spot just outside the top five. He’s already proven a strong character with his willingness to speak his opinion even when it conflicts with that of the King. Finally, he is the only character thus far that’s on the good side of all the major Targaryen family members.)

7. Lord Lyman Beesbury
As master of coin and a prominent member of the small council, Lord Beesbury has quite a bit of influence. He too is unafraid to speak his mind.

8. Lord Lyonel Strong
Lord Strong is this high up the list simply by being a member of the small council. He isn’t as strong-minded -no pun intended- as some of his colleagues though.

9. Grand Maester Mellos
Again, he is this high up given his position. He is also one of the few people to know about the King’s cut that isn’t healing. That is an important bit of information that could cause waves in the wrong hands.

10. Ser Criston Cole
Despite being a commoner, the events of the tournament where he defeated Daemon make him out to be one of the best knights in the realm.

11. Lady Alicent Hightower
As Otto’s daughter and Rhaenyra’s best friend, Alicent is surrounded by very powerful people. Her burgeoning relationship with the King could easily turn into a marriage that would catapult her up this list.

12. Craghas Drahar
Self-proclaimed Prince Admiral of the Triarchy. Also known as the “Crabfeeder.”

12. Captain Randyll Barret
Captain of the Knight’s Watch/Gold Cloaks. Right hand man to Daemon.

12. Septa Marlow

12. Lady Rhea of the Vale
Wife to Daemon.

12. Lord Boremund Baratheon
Presumably head of House Baratheon.

12. Ser Harrold Westerling
Member of the Kingsguard. Possibly Rhaenyra’s personal knight.

12. Lord Hobert Hightower
Beacon of the South. Defender of the Citadel. Voice of Oldtown. Presumably head of House Hightower.

12. Lord Rickon Stark
Lord of Winterfell. Presumably head of House Stark.

12. Ser Gwayne Hightower
Eldest son of Ser Otto Hightower.

12. Mysaria
Daemon’s love interest.
