‘Succession’ S4E10 Power Rankings: The End is Here

Posted on June 26, 2023July 5, 2023 By Yaseen

Shiv implodes in the eleventh hour and takes her brothers down with her. Matsson and Tom capitalize to come out as the undisputed winners.

1. Lukas Matsson

Matsson pitted the Roys against eachother from day one. He used Shiv all season, but late interference from Greg almost cost him the deal. Luckily for him, Shiv could not quell her bitterness long enough to see things through, so she ended up handing him the win nonetheless.

2. Tom Wamsgans

Tom hung around long enough to get the opening he’s longed for. The servile attitude he was ridiculed for all those years turned out to be the exact thing that got him the top job. Sure, he’s essentially Matsson’s puppet, but he’s still the CEO of Waystar. That position will always carry a great deal of power. Tom comes out a winner.

3. Gerri Kellman

Tom recognizes Gerri’s shrewd business acumen and appreciates her experience at the company, so he’s decided to bring her back into the fold. She too comes out a winner.

4. Gregory Hirsch

While he will punished for choosing the wrong side, Greg’s built up just enough equity with Matsson to survive the axe. He’s always had Tom’s back, and Tom’s always had his. Tom sees himself in Greg, so when Greg takes his chance, Tom doesn’t hold it against him because that’s exactly what he would’ve done. It also helps that Greg’s proved his worth as a capable minion. The disgusting brothers live on.

5. Karolina Novotney

Karolina endeared herself to Matsson’s team, which is why she will be one of the few survivors on the Waystar team.

6. Siobhan Roy

Shiv was willing to sabotage her own position to prevent Kendall from finally achieving his dream of becoming CEO of Waystar. I suppose she could mend her relationship with Tom at some point in the future, which would allow her to wield some influence. In reality, it’s lights out for Shiv.

7. Kendall Roy

Game over for Kendall. His inability to hold onto the support of his siblings’ has cost him one final time. The worst part is that there’s no coming back, this was the devastating blow.

8. Roman Roy

By losing Waystar, Roman was put out of his misery. Deep down, he never really wanted the top spot and would likely never have been able to handle the responsibilities of the job either. He failed successfully.

9. Sandi Furness

Sandi comes out a winner because she got everything she wanted. She wanted them to get a better offer from Matsson, and they did. She put her board seat to good use, and as a result, she exits the company a richer, headache-free woman.

10. Stewy Hosseini

Stewy’s consortium falls apart with the exit of Sandy and Sandi. He also picked the losing side, so he can kiss his seat on the board goodbye.

11. Frank Vernon

Frank put his vote to good use as well. He will get a “golden parachute” and enjoy retirement.

12. Karl Muller

Ditto Karl.

13. Marcia Roy

No appearance.

14. Connor Roy

With Mencken’s inauguration in doubt, Connor might once again find himself with nothing to show for his costly campaign.

15. Hugo Baker

Kendall lost, so Hugo’s now out of a job. Game over.
