1. Gomez Addams is innocent.
Gomez Addams did not murder Garrett Gates 30 years ago. He took the fall to protect Morticia, who had accidentally killed Garrett in self-defense. What’s more, Garrett was actually on his way to kill all the students at Nevermore on orders from his father that night. Garrett’s parents and sister are all presumed dead, but given how targeted and personal the attempt at getting Gomez arrested was, I’m leaning towards Thornhill being the sister who’s returned for revenge. This would certainly explain why she’s been acting so suspicious.
2. Xavier isn’t the monster.
One detail that was squeezed into this episode in the midst of the chaos surrounding Garrett’s murder case is that the DNA test of the monster’s claw and Xavier’s shirt wasn’t a match. This confirms that Xavier isn’t the monster assuming that the blood on the shirt Wednesday took from his studio was his. The sheriff is now investigating the only remaining active lead, which is the cave that was burned in the previous episode. One would think that his investigation into the cave will yield at least one clue.
3. The bully gets bullied.
Bianca’s mother, Gabrielle, actually showed up to the parent-student event at Nevermore, much to her daughter’s surprise. It turns out Gabrielle wasn’t there because she cared about Bianca, she was there to coerce her into returning home so she could take advantage of her siren abilities. When Bianca refused, Gabrielle threatened to expose her for using her siren abilities to get accepted into Nevermore. This was enough to force Bianca to comply with the condition that she’s allowed to stay on until the end of the school year. Bianca was bullied by her mother, so she turns into a bully herself in what should come as a shock to absolutely no one.
