1. The monster was at the dance.
This may end up being incorrect, but Wednesday’s had a vision of Eugene getting attacked by the monster after she bumped into someone at the dance. That we were given no clues on the appearance of the person who bumped into Wednesday seems intentional. Eugene was out in the woods on his own the whole time, and no one else was around when he was attacked, which is what leads me to believe that the person behind the monster was at the dance. With that said, the timelines don’t line up perfectly, as it seemed like Eugene was running from the monster before Wednesday’s vision. This would mean that there are multiple people behind the monster.
2. The tension in Jericho is heating up.
The prank Lucas and his friends pulled at the dance was a direct reaction to Wednesday blowing up Crackstone’s status during the outreach event. Lucas breaking Enid’s heart in the process only furthers the tensions between the outcasts and normies. Thus far, Weems has been generally composed, this prank will test her resolve. In all likelihood, the tension will start to boil over in the second half of the season. In the likely event that the monster is identified as a Nevermore student, things could get ugly.
3. Something is at play among the normies.
Ms. Thornhill gets more and more fishy with every passing scene. She’s clearly hiding something, and the more I think about it, the more I’m convinced that she’s not acting alone. Perhaps she’s a plant -no pun intended- by the mayor so he can have eyes and ears on what happens in Nevermore. Perhaps she’s an outcast masquerading as a normie because she’s the monster. Dr. Kinbott is similarly becoming more and more fishy. The coroner was acting weird as well. Who burned the monster’s lair? At least the sheriff is open in his dislike for Nevermore and the outcasts. As for the others, we’re left wondering what their true intentions are.
