Kendall uncovers a potentially game-changing piece of information about GoJo. Suddenly, Shiv finds herself in a tight spot.
1. Kendall Roy
After some huffing and puffing, Kendall finally has a legitimate reason to tank the GoJo deal. Since the acquisition is a stock and cash deal, the board and investors will not look kindly on GoJo’s inflated subscriber numbers because such a revelation would hurt the newly formed stock. It is therefore not in the best interest of the shareholders for the deal to go through. Kendall has a history of overpromising, but this time it seems like he just about has all the pieces to the puzzle. All he has to do now is stick the landing. Can he keep it together long enough to see this through?
2. Lukas Matsson
Matsson’s loses top spot due to the aforementioned subscriber debacle. Still, he has the money and he has a double agent in Shiv. Furthermore, he gave a good impression of himself to the lobbyists at the tailgate party. That might not matter as much as initially suggested, but having friends in high places certainly doesn’t hurt. In any case, this might turn out as a small wobble. Matsson can be persuasive, so it isn’t beyond him to somehow convince Waystar’s board and investors that the India situation is under control.
3. Connor Roy
Connor’s meteoric rise is likely temporary, but that won’t matter to him. He’s polling around 1% which obviously doesn’t make him a serious contender. However, in a hotly contested race, 1% can be the difference between winning and losing. It certainly seems to be the case at the moment, so much so that Mencken is willing to strike a deal with Connor. Of course, Connor was not impressed with the positions that were offered, so he turned them down. This will likely be the closest Connor comes to wielding any sort of legitimate power, but I suppose anything can happen election day. Perhaps Mencken comes back with an even more desperate offer?
4. Frank Vernon
Kendall clearly trusts Frank, so if Kendall ends up keeping hold of Waystar, expect Frank to be his right hand man. Even if the deal goes through, Frank would take the money and go. It’s a win-win situation for him.
5. Siobhan Roy
It feels like Shiv should drop more than one spot, but those under her in the rankings didn’t do enough to warrant a spot in the top five. Shiv’s reconciliation with Tom was short-lived, so she now finds herself more isolated than ever. Matsson seemed somewhat noncommittal when Shiv demanded guarentee of a high position in the company in exchange for her assistance. And that was before Shiv knew about GoJo’s issues in India. If the previous episode was a showcase for the benefits of playing all sides, this one was a showcase for the detriments of such a strategy.
6. Roman Roy
Roman increasingly seems like a fish out of the water. Because he bailed on Kendall on the Living Plus plan, Kendall now views him as dispensable. Kendall would’ve probably reached that conclusion anyways, but this certainly expediated it. His pathetic attempt of an apology to Gerri was, at best, too little too late. He couldn’t even get Connor to take a deal from Mencken. It was just a rough episode for Roman, and if Mencken ends up losing as is currently projected, it could get even worse.
7. Gerri Kellman
It appears as if Gerri is actually on her way out of the company, but she seems intent on going out in a bang. Because of Roman’s stupidity in the previous season, she has enough backing her lofty demands. Her relationship with Roman is unsalvageable, but could there be an angle with Kendall or Shiv that keeps Gerri with the company?
8. Gregory Hirsch
Greg continues to put himself in high-value situations. Kendall has continued to lean on him, and Greg has delivered every time. He even managed to cozy up to Matsson in this episode.
9. Marcia Roy

10. Karl Muller

11. Tom Wamsgans
Tom is teetering on the edge thanks to what should be the nail in the coffin in his marriage to Shiv. He’s tried to navigate the waters as best as he can, but he just has too much going against him. After all, hitching himself to Shiv was the only way he would have been able to keep his head afloat.
